The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst II is a key participant in ensuring the quality of our growing ecommerce presence that our expanding partner base rely to interact with their customers and also Generac. This role is responsible for developing test cases, both manual and automated, and completing the testing. Through the testing process, this role partners closely with the software development teams to deliver key findings. The Software QA Analyst II is responsible for delivering test cases and test results contained within the sprint and driving continuous integration/build and automated testing that aligns with agile development practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writes and executes moderately complex test plans. Records and documents the results of the test and provides insight on the variances between the planned results versus actual results to the software development team as appropriate.

  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of the product API with external API consumers.

  • Operates and maintains test environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Science, Business, or Arts program or equivalent experience

  • 2 years’ experience in commercial software testing in one or more of the following roles: Testing Analyst, Automation Testing Specialist, Systems Analyst or equivalent

  • 1 year experience writing SQL database queries

  • Prior testing automation experience including: web, API, database, and mobile applications

  • Prior experience programming or scripting, working in MS DevOps for User Stories, Test Scripts.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficient working knowledge of testing

  • Ability to work as part of large implementation team that executes in agile fashion

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
